Intensive Face to Face Lock-In

Why choose the face-to-face Mentor Coaching Lock-In option?

We offer three ways to experience the Lock-In. This option is an intensive face-to-face programme, held over three consecutive days incoroporating some or all of a weekend.

This is the original Lock-in, which was designed to “lock you in” until the paperwork is done.  Some people find this harder to do alone, so it provides the discipline and the opportunity to ask questions in the moment they arise.

Being face-to-face also gives more opportunities over coffees and lunch within the programme to network and build relationships with your fellow coaches.  This is tough to replicate in a virtual setting when we all go to our respective kitchens to feed and water ourselves.

I really loved this IRL training experience. Having had mentor coaching a while back with Clare, it was great to see how far I had come with my own coaching practice and I appreciated having a number of opportunities to validate this.

I got just as much from watching others coach and being coached myself as this really brought the a PCC markers to life.

As ever, I love Clare’s clear and coherent training style, she has a real gift for demystifying coaching and making it accessible and safe for all of us to learn and grow.

I recently attended Clare's ICF Mentoring, Lock-In weekend. It was a fantastic weekend full of layer after layer of learning. Clare held the space in a very grounded way, providing the right level of support and challenge. It felt so easy to suspend judgment as we all embraced the learning weekend together. - Maddie Fox ACC

For an ICF credential, you need 10 hours of mentor coaching in total, up to 7 of which can be group mentor coaching.

Here’s a reminder of what the core programme includes:

  • Seven hours of group mentor coaching where you'll practise one-to-one coaching with real-time feedback. You'll also learn by observing others' practice sessions and the feedback they receive.
  • Deepening your understanding of the ICF core competencies through practical application and discussion.
  • Three one-to-one one-hour virtual mentor coaching sessions with either Sheela Hobden PCC or Nicky Chambers from Clare's team of associate coaches. These sessions complete your ten required mentor coaching hours for credentialing. You will share a coaching recording, pausing to reflect on your use of the competencies. This builds your coaching competency as you integrate feedback over at least three months. If you'd like to schedule any sessions before the group programme starts, let us know when booking and we'll match you accordingly.

And the added value through booking with Clare Norman Coaching Associates:

  • A detailed briefing on ICF credential requirements, so you know exactly what's expected
  • Practical guidance on recording your coaching and CPD hours correctly
  • An introductory video with your one-to-one mentors so you can get to know our associates and indicate your preference before the one-to-one sessions.
  • A copy of Clare's book, The Transformational Coach, which will walk you through the mindset shifts you may need to make so that your skillset shifts stick
  • Ten hours of video content exploring the core competencies, including live coaching demonstrations
  • A specialist video on accessing multiple intelligences in your coaching practice
  • A welcome care package to support your learning journey
