Why choose this Lock-In option?
We offer three ways to experience the Lock-In. This option is a dispersed virtual programme, held over the course of 3 separate days.
If our intensive approach to mentor coaching is not for you, then this is your best Lock-In option, all the details you need are below...
How does it run?
This Mentor Coaching Lock-In takes place over Zoom. The virtual option works very well and has been tried and tested; the programme is adapted to run over 3 dispersed days. Participants take part virtually, with some offline homework to complete.
Thank you so much for facilitating our group mentoring sessions over the past 3 weeks. You created a safe atmosphere for learning and growth through your warm and authentic tone. I really appreciate all your feedback and that of the other coaches too. Claire Goodman.
Clare provokes new thinking and gets me moving, I thoroughly recommend her ..... and her Lock-in programme as a guided pathway to ICF credentialling. Dave Stitt PCC
Clare's calm, supportive, "loving boot" style of facilitation and mentoring really put me at ease and helped me to learn, explore and challenge myself to try new things and develop further as a coach. I would highly recommend Clare's lock-in for anyone needing mentor coaching for (re)accreditation or in fact anyone who wants to refresh and uplevel their coaching skills. Catherine Evans Joines.

For an ICF credential, you need 10 hours of mentor coaching in total, up to 7 of which can be group mentor coaching.
Here’s a reminder of what the core programme includes:
- Seven hours of group mentor coaching where you'll practise one-to-one coaching with real-time feedback. You'll also learn by observing others' practice sessions and the feedback they receive.
- Deepening your understanding of the ICF core competencies through practical application and discussion.
- Three one-to-one one-hour virtual mentor coaching sessions with either Sheela Hobden PCC or Nicky Chambers from Clare's team of associate coaches. These sessions complete your ten required mentor coaching hours for credentialing. You will share a coaching recording, pausing to reflect on your use of the competencies. This builds your coaching competency as you integrate feedback over at least three months. If you'd like to schedule any sessions before the group programme starts, let us know when booking and we'll match you accordingly.
And the added value through booking with Clare Norman Coaching Associates:
- A detailed briefing on ICF credential requirements, so you know exactly what's expected
- Practical guidance on recording your coaching and CPD hours correctly
- An introductory video with your one-to-one mentors so you can get to know our associates and indicate your preference before the one-to-one sessions.
- A copy of Clare's book, The Transformational Coach, which will walk you through the mindset shifts you may need to make so that your skillset shifts stick
- Ten hours of video content exploring the core competencies, including live coaching demonstrations
- A specialist video on accessing multiple intelligences in your coaching practice
- A welcome care package to support your learning journey
