Coaching From Love – Retreat

For three days in June, a group of coaches will gather in the Somerset countryside to bring the material of my book, Reclaiming Love in Coaching, to life. To live inside it for a while, and to feel what changes in our practice when love is the water that we bathe in.

I retire nine months later, and I can think of no better way to hand over the baton to other love-led coaches than three days of love in practice, in the county where I grew up, with people who already hold out for love in their coaching.

Who this is for

If you are a coach who senses that something is missing from the technical, competency-shaped version of the work, and you are drawn to what coaching becomes when love sits at its core, you will feel at home here alongside other coaches who feel the same way.

What to expect

I am holding the shape of the programme loosely on purpose. Much of the detail we will co-create once I know who is coming, because the people in the room are what make a gathering like this. What I can tell you is that it will be steeped in love, and that silence, rest, laughter and real depth will run through all three days. Per Annie Paul’s work that suggests that every part of us has wisdom, not just our head; we’ll include the whole of your extended mind, using all of your senses.

You will be among a circle of people who  arrive ready to be open with one another.

The place

42 Acres sits in the Somerset countryside near Frome, a regenerative estate and nature reserve of more than 170 acres: ancient woodland, rewilded meadows and a seven-acre lake. It runs entirely on renewable energy, and the food is organic, seasonal and grown or foraged on the land. The lake is open for swimming if that’s your thing. It is a place that feels very loving which is why I chose it, in the nourishment it provides, the beautiful décor, the comfortable beds, the wildlife sanctuary.

What is included

• Three nights' accommodation in an individual room; some rooms have shared bathrooms

The cost

The full fee is £1,550 including VAT. A non-refundable deposit of £400 including VAT secures your place, with the balance due by 22^nd March 2027. I can arrange instalments if that helps.
